- Biography/History:
- George Almond Munger graduated with a B.S. in Education from the University of Pennsylvania in 1933. He started his football career in 1926 and became coach for Penn's freshman squad in 1933. He served as head of the Varsity Coach in 1938. He was director and professor of the department of Physical Education of Penn. He was honored with the title of L.L.D. in 1985.

- The interviewee reviewed the general conditions of the University of Pennsylvania when he was a student, and recalled many football games in which he played either as a team member or as a coach. He also discussed the work of recruiting for the University football team, his opinion of the regulations set among the Ivy League Schools for their football teams in 1952, and his impression of attitude held by the University administration towards physical education.
