- Biography/History:
- Charles Henderson graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in 1931 and with a Bachelor of Music in 1939. He joined the faculty of the University in 1931, serving as instructor in English from 1931 to 1942. From 1936 to 1942, he also served as assistant director of admissions. His other responsibilities included serving as Proctor in Men's dormitories from 1936 to 1938 and serving as chairman of Parental Board from 1937 to 1938.

- Henderson discussed the reason for his choosing the University of Pennsylvania, general conditions of the University when he was a student, his memory of the Depression years, his experience of managing the dorms on campus (including a brief look at the so-called "Rowbottom" riots originated by the Penn students), and his work at the admissions office of the University.
