This set of score and parts was created by the library of the Philadelphia Orchestra during the tenure of conductor Eugene Ormandy. It consists of: 1 Bruckner-Verlag full score of the Haas edition; 78 A. J. Gutmann parts (pl. no.: A.J.G. 578); 12 Bruckner-Verlag parts (photocopies); 7 ink manuscript parts.
Includes original folder with circulation record and performance record.
Score marked by Eugene Ormandy for performance with the Philadelphia Orchestra; markings include bowings, doublings, metronome markings, and durations, many of which are marked with the initials of Bruno Walter. Many of the alterations in the parts do not match the markings in the score.
Parts marked for performance by members of the Philadelphia Orchestra; some parts contain manuscript inserts.
Also included: separate manuscript inserts for parts, including viola, timpani, and trumpet II (marked "Tennstedt"). There is also an envelope marked "Horn inserts".
