- Biography/History:
- The American Legion, Helen Fairchild Post No. 412 was organized in Philadelphia in 1919. The post was named for Helen Fairchild, a Pennsylvania Hospital nurse, who was attached to Base Hospital No. 10 and died in service in France on 18 January 1918. The Post has membership ties with all of Philadelphia's hospitals with members throughout the United States.
