Summary:
The collection consists of education-related materials accumulated by Edna Albert Newman in her roles as nursing student and teacher. These include a selection of examination papers, notably the University of the State of New York's 90th examination for registered nurses which is dated October, 1938. Also, lecture notes covering such topics as the history of nursing from the Egyptians to Florence Nightingale are available. Lebanon Hospital materials include guidelines for case studies, as well as a case study of Newman's, and various outlines for demonstrations to be given to student practical nurses for training purposes.
