- The first American edition of the Douai translation of the Vulgate Bible. According to Evans, the original plan of publication in weekly numbers was abandoned after a short time (Number 1 was issued Dec. 12, 1789) and the completed work finally published Dec. 1, 1790.
- Printed in two columns. Signed and paged as two volumes, but bound in a single volume, without separate title page to v. 2. The New Testament begins on p. 281, 2nd count.
