- "Presumably written either wholly or in part by [Joseph] Dennie."--BAL. The Port folio was edited by Dennie and published by Dennie and Dickins. An advertisement for the Prospectus appeared in the Gazette of the United States, Philadelphia, Oct. 16, 1800.
- Two states noted, a number of lines having been rejustified, and the number of lines per column varying. In one state the last word of the first column on p. [1] is "with"; in the other it is "something."
