Notes:
Evans, who saw no copy, gives title: Bickerstaff's Boston almanack, for the year of our redemption, 1786.
A note by the author on p. [4], signed with the pseudonym Isaac Bickerstaff, Esq., is dated at Providence, indicating that the almanac is the work of Benjamin West. It begins with a warning against purchasing "a counterfeit Bickerstaff's Boston almanack, for 1786, without plates."
The present almanac is a reissue by Russell, with augmented title, of his Bickerstaff's Boston almanack for 1786. The two issues are otherwise identical except that at the head of p. [3] is added "(See plate p. 5)" and at the foot of p. [24] is appended an advertisement.
