An abridged reprint of the edition printed at Woodbridge, N.J. by William Goddard (Evans 9941, q.v.). Though issued in the form of a newspaper, in fact a political manifesto in opposition to the Stamp Act. The present edition includes the prefatory remarks 'To the public,' signed 'Andrew Marvel' (i.e., William Goddard), and the essay signed Philoleutheros, but omits the second essay, signed Philo Patriæ, and the report of changes in the Ministry in Great Britain.
