- The first almanac published by Bennett Wheeler. A revival of the fictitious Anderson last employed in Rhode Island by Solomon Southwick in this almanac for 1776 or 1777. Cf. Alden.
- The calculations are stated to be those of Benjamin West in Chapin, H.M. "Check list of Rhode Island almanacs," Proceedings of the American Antiquarian Society, n.s. v. 25 (1915): p. 26, 38. This seems confirmed by a comparison of the calendar pages and eclipse notes with those in West's New-England almanack, or Lady's and gentleman's diary, for 1780 (Providence: John Carter).
