Worcester, January 3d, 1793. : We the subscribers severally agree, that we will pay the several sums affixed to our names, for the purpose of erecting sufficient and convenient buildings for the accommodation of the supreme executive, and legislature, and for the offices of the secretary and treasurer of the commonwealth of Massachusetts: provided there should be an act of the legislature, making Worcester the seat of government, or partially so.
