- "Richard Saunders" is a pseudonym.
- An advertisement by Theophilus Grew for his school of mathematics appears on p. [24]. Similar advertisements are found in the issues for 1737 and 1743-1751. During this period Grew, the calculator of other almanacs, was probably the calculator of Poor Richard.
- Advertised in the Pennsylvania gazette, Philadelphia, Nov. 27/Dec. 4, 1735.
