"An act for apportioning and assessing a tax of thirty-nine thousand one hundred and three pounds thirteen shillings and seven pence; and also for apportioning and assessing a further tax of two thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight pounds eleven shillings and six pence, paid the representatives for their service and attendance in the General Court and travel, amounting in the whole to forty-one thousand nine hundred and eighty-two pounds, five shillings and one penny." Passed June 29, 1747.
