- Biography/History:
- Born Joseph G. Rabinovitch in Russia in 1876. He immigrated with his parents to the United States in 1887. Taking the name Joseph G. Robin he became a wealthy banker in New York City. In 1912 served a year in jail for mismanagement of bank funds. Robin became involved in publishing as an author and editor. In the 1920s Robin published two plays using the pseudonym Odin Gregory. Theodore Dreiser admired Robin and wrote the introduction to his play entitled Caius Gracchus. Robin died in White Plains, New York in 1929.
