Biography/History:
Émile Deschamps de Saint-Amand was a poet of French Romanticism. He was also a librettist; he wrote the libretto for Hector Berlioz' opera Roméo et Juliette. The poet Antoine (Antoni) Deschamps de Saint-Amand (1800-1869) was his brother.
