- Consists of 1 silver-gelatin print of Johannes Brahms on his deathbed, approx. 6 x 4 in. mounted on a gilt-edged board. Inscription on reverse reads, "Johannes Brahms on his deathbed. There are only three of these pictures in existence. H.C."
- Accompanied by envelope addressed to "Mrs. Connell" and reading, "[Ph]oto by Eugen Miller of Aichholz, [Apri]l 3, 1897."
- Notes:
- "H.C." is probably Horatio Connell. The Library's Miscellaneous Manuscripts collection contains a letter to Horatio Connell from H. Velten that originally accompanied an etching of Brahms by W. Unger.
