- Biography/History:
- Antoine Petroz was a physician. He signed this inscription "Petroz;" a later note in an unidentified hand calls him "Dr. Petroz." He is the author of the book Études de thérapeutique et de matières médicales (Paris, 1864). He appears to have died before the book was published; it was edited and annotated by Alphonse Crétin, who added an introduction describing Petroz's life and work.
