- Biography/History:
- John B. Taub was is best known as a poet. He served in the Confederate army during the Civil War and became a POW. He was ordained a Catholic priest in 1884 and later taught English at St. Charles College in Maryland.
- Summary:
- Consists of one letter to Father Tabb and three poems by him. The letter is dated 22 August 1894, from William Hand Browne; at the bottom, Tabb has written a poem, "Silence," in his own hand. Also includes two undated autograph poems on separate sheets, "The Inn-ovation" and "Prejudice."
