To the Republican electors of the state of New York : the following letter was communicated to the editor of the American citizen for publication : the writer is an honest Federalist, the reason which he assigns for his opposition to Mr. Burr is good, and, were there no other, is sufficient to induce every honest man, of whatever party, to oppose his election, the act of which he complains, is wanton and cruel, and must shock the feelings of every humane man.
