Endorsed: The case as stated to the honourable House of Commons in a petition of Sir William Fownes, Kt., Ephraim Dawson, Esq., William Stannus, and John Savage, Gent., in behalf of themselves and many other persons, creditors of the army for one hundred thousand pounds sterling in the years 1690 and 1691, in order to discover in whose hands the said debt now remains, having been deducted in the year 1700 from the army in England for the use of the petitioners.
