- The original English manuscript was translated into Latin and published, 1674, under title: Historia et antiquitates Universitatis Oxoniensis. Dissatisfied with the translation, Wood rewrote his English ms., and from this revised ms. Gutch published the present work. (Cf. preface to the author's History and antiquities of the colleges and halls in the University of Oxford, 1786.)
